There is not a country in the world that has not ben affected by the credit crunch. So what can you do to keep your business ticking over. Here are some suggestions.

1. Sell more back end products to your existing

and proved your credibility to them.

2. Make it a practice to up sell to new and existing

Tips On Running a Profitable Web Site

Here is a good article I picked up from Stone Evans which outlines the basic ingredients for a profitable website.

1. Address your targeted audience on your business
site. Example: "Welcome Internet Marketers". If
you have more than one, address them all.

2. Make sure your content and graphics are relevant
to your web site's theme. You wouldn't want to use
a bird graphic on a business web site.

3. Alert visitors by email when you add new content
to your web site. This will remind people to revisit
your web site.

4. Offer a way for visitors to contact you on each
web page. List your email address, fax number and
phone number.

5. Give people the option of viewing your web site
offline. Offer it by autoresponder or printer friendly
version.

6. Make sure a least 50% of your content is original.
The other option is to offer something else original
other than content, like software or an online utility.

7. Offer your visitors incentives for revisiting your
web site. You could give them new content, ebooks,
software, ezine, etc.

8. Publish a FAQs for your business, product and
web site. They could have questions about multiple
parts of your business.

9. Make sure all links on the navigational bar are
clickable. If people can't get to where they want to
go, they will leave.

10. Organize you web site in logical and profitable
sequence. You don't want to give a freebie before they
learn about the product(s) you're selling.

Search Engine Optimisation For Your Blog

SEO Importance In Blog Advertising

SEO Importance In Blog Advertising

Having a blog on the Internet that gives people some
good informaton doens’t do a lot of good if people
don’t know that it’s there.

If you want people to be able to find your blog,
something that is important is that you have good
Search Engine Optimization, or SEO.

Whenever you put one or more words into a search bar
to look for something, the SEO of a website is what
helps bring up those websites.

For example, if your blog is about Harry Potter, you
are going to want to be sure that your blog includes
popular terms such as Harry Pottter, JK Rowling, and
other things that are related to Harry Potter.

Think about the things that people look for when they
are interested in Harry Potter, and the kinds of
things that come up when you search.

It’s always a good idea to use your own experience
when you are optimizing your blog for searching.

Think about what has worked, what hasn’t worked, and
use them for your own blog SEO. This way, when someone
puts one of the terms that you put in your blog into a
search engine it will be one of the sites that comes
up.

Of course, there are other factors that come into play
that determine where your blog will come up in the
list, but everyone starts somewhere.

The more keywords that your blog uses, the more people
will come to your blog. It just takes time and
patience.

Join A Community

Join A Community To Advertise Your Blog

Something that you will find, especially if you join
something like LiveJournal or GreatestJournal, is that
users just like you have created communities for
people with common interests.

There are communities for just about any subject, and
if you find that there isn’t a community for the
subject you can create one. This is a great place to
advertise your blog.

The nice thing about communities is that there isn’t
any limit as to how many communities that you can
join.

For example, say that you love blogging about books,
horseback riding, and skiing in Tahoe. All you have to
do is look through the communities for ones that have
those interests and join them.

As long as you post something related to the topic to
the chosen community, people will see you and perhaps
they will check out your personal blog.

Something to remember is that you don’t want to write
a post tht is one sentence long in order to get people
to go to your blog. They will want to know that what
you write is interesting and is something worth
reading.

Joining communities can be a great way to advertise
your blog and drive traffic to it. If you are
referring to something that you posted about on your
blog, you can use a link back to your entry in your
post.

As with posting comments on someone else’s blog, you d
on’t want people to think that you joined a community
simply to get traffic to your blog. Otherwise, people
won’t visit your blog and you may get banned from the
community as well.

Getting Readers To Read Your Blog

Getting readers is one of the hardest things to do in Blogging.
Blogging traffic is a give and take relationship.
Sometimes one of the best ways to get traffic to your
blog is by visiting someone else ’s blog.

Go to their blog and read one of their entries, or
read a few of them. Chances are that you are going to
find something that you have in common.

When you find something that you find truly
interesting on a blog, leave a comment so that they
know that you were there.

One of the best known blogs available is LiveJournal.
A great feature of LiveJournal is that you can search
for interests on their site and it will come up with
results of those who have that interest.

Are you interested in horseback riding You can see
what other bloggers are interested in horseback riding
as well.

When you are commenting on someone’s post, you want to
make sure that you don’t leave generic comment. If you
like the post, say something about what you read in
the post.

After you have commented on the person’s post, then
you can say something like, ‘I really like horseback
riding too. I had a similar experience to yours.’ and
then use it to link back to your journal.

But be sure that you sound sincere when you are
commenting, and don’t make them feel like you’re just
fishing for traffic.

If someone thinks that you are using their blog to get
more traffic to yours, they won’t visit your site and
your efforts will be wasted.

Blogger Forums

Blogger Forums - A Great Place To Advertise Your Blog

No matter what type of blog that you have, one of the
best places that you can advertise your blog is to
join a blogger forum. After all, everyone who posts
there has a blog and thats the main subject.

It’s a great place to meet other bloggers and to
advertise your blog.

There are quite a few blogger forums that you can sign
up for on the Internet. One is known as Bloggeries,
where you can show off your blog, get your blog
reviewed or review other blogs, and find lots of tools
that you can use for your own blog.

Another good place to go is to Blog Forum.

Blog Forum, like Bloggeries, has spots for you to
market and show off your blog,

Blogger forums are a great place to advertise because
everyone in them are of the same mind and want to make
certain that their blogs get noticed and read.

If you use your blog to advertise something that you
are selling, or you want to get a lot of traffic to
your blog in order to make money, you want to go
someplace where it can get exposure.

When you advertise on a blog forum, you know that you
are placing your advertisement in a place where
blogging is something that people enjoy.

Just remember when you are posting to a forum to read
the rules and abide by them. That way you’ll get your
blog noticed and you will know that you are doing the
right thing.

Email Groups

Email Groups - Great Places For Advertising
A Blog

I touched on this subject in an earlier post.
Something that has become increasingly popular since
the Internet has grown are the email groups that are
available through Yahoo, MSN, and other venues.

They are a great way to meet other people who have a
common interest, and are very similar to the
communities that are available through blogging sites.

There is plenty of diverse subjects and there are
communities for just about any subject.

These groups can be a great place for people who have
a blog about the subject and want to share it with
other people.

Most of the time when you join a group, you are
encouraged to take a moment and to introduce yourself.
This is a great opportunity to tell people about your
blog, but make certain that you don’t overdo it.

Just like with any of the other places you will
advertise your blog, you want to make people want to
go to your blog. If you are too overbearing, you will
turn people off.

If your blog covers different subjects, you can
advertise it on the other groups that cover those
subjects as well.

Make certain that your post to the groups is
interesting and that you let people know what it is
that your blog is about. There’s nothing worse than
getting taken to a blog under false pretences.

When people visit your blog, make certain that you
thank them for visiting and respond to comments that
they leave.

If they know that you appreciate the time that they
took, they are more likely to come back again.

Blogging Directories - Great Advertising Venues

If you want to have more people visit your blog, there
are plenty of blog directories on the Internet that
you can submit your blog to so that people will come
and visit it. Most blog directories are listed by the
topics that the blogs that are submited cover.

Blog Catalog is a free blog directory that offers
categories such as career and jobs, writing, and
many others. It has features such as featured blogs
and other things to offer those who submit their blogs
there.

Another great place to add your blog is
blog-drectory.org. Not only do they have an an
extensive list of categories with sub categories, you
can get your blog reviewed. For the most popular
blogs, it shows the amount of hits that blogs have and
if they have any reviews. As well as listing by
category, the blogs are also listed by location.

There are other blog directories on the Internet -
these are only a ouple of them. But blog directories
are a great place to advertise your blog and to make
new friends. You never know what you will find when
you browsing through the directory, and you may just
find out information that you never knew. Some of the
blog directories offer chat features as well, so that
you can meet other people easily.

As you can see, blog directories are a great place to
get your blog noticed and bring people to read your
blog and look at your pictures.

Adverise Your Blog Or Website

Advertising Your Blog In Your Email Signature

If you have a blog that you are particularly proud of,
and that you want to share with other people, there
are a lot of free ways that you can get your blog
noticed.

One of those ways is something that you do everyday,
and that you may not even consider as a way to share
your blog. Put the link to your blog in your email
signature.

Chances are that you send out emails more times that
you can count during the day, Each time you send out
an email, you can advertise your blog by putting the
address of your blog in your email’s signature.

It’s always a good idea to write something catchy
like, See what I am up to now, or Read my latest
chapter of my fanfic here, depending on what type of
blog you have.

The thing to remember about putting an adveritsement
in your signature for your blog is to make it short,
but eye catching.

You want people to be interested enough to want to
click on it, but you also don’t want to scare them
off.

Just like it is with any advertisement, you want to
give them just enough to be interested and take a
closer look at what it is that you are advertising.

Think about what it is that your blog is about. What
is really going to interest people about it and want
to visit That is what you should include in your
signature, and that is what is going to get people to
go to your blog.

What Is Advertising?

Is it something to be regarded as a work of beauty or art? Is it clever slogans or amusing prose? Is it workmanship to be judged for an award or recognition?

It’s none of the above.

Advertising is salesmanship multiplied.

Nothing more.

And advertising copy, or copywriting, is salesmanship in print.

The purpose of a copywriter’s job is to sell. Period.

The selling is accomplished by persuasion with the written word, much like a television commercial sells (if done properly) by persuading with visuals and audio.

As Claude Hopkins wrote in his timeless classic, Scientific Advertising:

“To properly understand advertising or to learn even its rudiments one must start with the right conception. Advertising is salesmanship. Its principles are the principles of salesmanship."

Increasing Your Sales

Increasing Online Sales Using Affiliate Marketing

You do not have to have a product to make money online, although your ultimate goal should be to create a unique product of your own.

One of the most tried, trusted, and beneficial ways of increasing online sales through marketing and advertising is affiliate marketing. This is basically a revenue share sort of system, where an affiliate is given a form of commission from a merchant, based on how many sales the affiliate has generated through advertising on hisher site. Affiliate marketing began just four years after the world-wide web was launched, and many successful e-commerce sites owe much to this simple yet effective method.

There are three types of affiliate marketing methods of payment – either pay-per-click (generated by actual clicks or referrals to the merchant from the affiliate’s site), pay-per-action or pay-per-sale (very similar, in that the affiliate receives payment, either a fixed amount or commission, based on the sales or subscriptions that have come through referrals or adverts on the affiliate’s site.) The last two methods of payment are generally preferred by merchants, due to many fraudsters taking advantage of the click system and setting up sites with forced clicks, pop-ups, adware, spam, false advertising and many other “black hat” techniques.

Affiliate marketing is not limited to only display-adverts on an affiliate site, but also comes in the form of email, blogs, rss feeds, content and niche sites, loyalty sites, comparison sites or shopping directories, and other forms. It is an extremely low cost, but highly effective form of marketing and advertising, presenting little to no risk for both the merchant and the affiliate.

Types of Affiliate Marketing

Types of Affiliate Marketing

Here is a quick breakdown of the different affiliate marketing schemes available out there. Affiliate marketing is a broad term that refers to a sort of on-line revenue share scheme, involving advertising and selling. It dates back to late 1994, when many e-commerce sites started employing the system and finding that it produces fantastic results. Currently, affiliate marketing is actually a serious player within e-commerce strategy.

When an affiliate joins in with an e-commerce merchant of some sort (be it a subscription service, a shopping site etc…) payment is received through referrals done from the affiliate’s website – done through the following methods

1)Pay-per click systems basically, the affiliate displays adverts on their site and is paid when a customer or internet user clicks on that website

2)RSS feeds or blogs – even personal sites can sit under this category. Blogging is fast becoming a staple form of marketing and promotion, and affiliate marketing partners well with this form of online communication

3)Comparison sites and shopping directories – such as review sites or legit advertising sites

4)Loyalty sites – this is when a reward system is in place via a cash back or points back system (or charitable donations)

5)Coupon sites that focus strictly on marketing and promotions

6)Email lists – legit email lists to subscribers of the affiliate’s website etc – NOT spam

7)A registration path – when a person registers with a specific site, be it for a newsletter or subscription, offers from other companies are represented and advertised

8)Networks – there are many affiliate marketing networks. Some even function on a multi-tier or multi-level marketing sort of set up.

For the most part web masters put affiliate adverts on their sites or devote a sales page on to promote the affiliate product. But I have seen affiliate links in classified advert sites and the publisher of the advert has no website. A good way to start but I have heard it is not that effective without your own website.

Speak to you soon.

The Advantages of Affiliate Marketing

The Advantages of Affiliate Marketing

The concept of revenue sharing has been around for quite a while, long before the internet. But the idea of affiliate marketing has taken it to new levels, and become a staple form of advertising and bringing in business for all types of e-commerce.

Online merchants find affiliate marketing highly advantageous due to the fact that it presents little to no risk both for the merchant and the ‘affiliate.’ The way it works is that the affiliate earns a type of commission or fixed amount based on the number of sales the affiliate brings to the merchant, either through on-line links on the affiliates website – or through email, blogs, rss feeds and many other kinds of on-line communication. Some merchants (only about 1% of affiliate marketing) use a cost-per-click remuneration system, which simply means that the affiliate earns every time an internet searcher clicks on an advert on their site or email. However, due to fraudsters taking advantage of this method (creating ad-ware, sending spam, or useless indexing sites) this form of remuneration is not preferred and becomes too risky for merchants to use.

Affiliate marketing also bears no cost on the merchant in the original set-up – in other words, it costs nothing to place advertising banners on affiliate’s sites, and there is only a cost if a lead or sale has been generated (which is advantageous for all.) Merchants also get to set the parameters, and decide on the incentive schemes. Thus, it is a very inexpensive (but highly efficient way) to grow a business.

Affiliate Marketing

What is Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate Marketing is a way of promoting online business through affiliate programs and advertising that pay the affiliate (or publisher) a type of commission based on the amount of business their website brings the merchant company.

It’s a form of revenue sharing or commission based advertising. The term “affiliate marketing,” however, is often associated with network marketing or multi-level marketing and therefore many companies prefer to use the term “performance marketing”. Affiliate marketing is the most cost effective sort of marketing there is, and is actually incredibly efficient. For this reason, many companies (especially those that started in the early days of e-commerce) owe a tremendous amount to affiliate marketing (amazon.com is a good example) and it has now become normal for companies to include affiliate marketing in many of their plans.

There are three types of compensation methods that are associated with affiliated marketing. The first type is Cost per Click (CPC) or Cost per Mil (CPM.) Basically, the affiliate earns by how many clicks the advertising on his or her site generates, or by just having the advert published on the website. But because of click fraud and many other questionable tactics, CPC is no longer the general form used for affiliate marketing. Generally, companies now either use CPA (Cost per Action) or CPS (Cost per Sale.) The first is based on how much the advert generates interest by the clicker to actually buy or register at the advertised site, the second is based strictly on sales. In other words, an affiliate is paid if the clicker actually purchases something on the advertised site.

Test and Tweak your Copy

Copywriting Tweaking

Have you tried to do your own copywriting yet or are you saying to yourself "i just want to learn a little bit more? Well if you have never done it before, my advisce to you is to give it a go now. What is the worst thing that can happen?

If you have a website or a blog, start to write a sales page. Find the unique selling point for your product and build your copy around that. Keep it simple. Do not lie as you main gain a sale but you will lose a customer.

Once you get your sales copy on to the net and published keep a track of the sales. If you have no or little sales you must then tweak your sales copy. Track the sales then tweak again. keep doing this until you are happy with the amount of business you are generating.

So what do I mean by tweak?

You need to try a different word here and there or change the font size or the colour of the background and so on. But only one change at a time until you are satisfied.

Did you know a copywriter added one word on a plastic bottle label and doubled sales of that product. Every other manufacturer copied this one word and doubled their sales as well. One single word, is that not the most amazing tweak in the history of copywriting.

This is what you have to do with your copy. Change one aspect of it at a time. If you change more than one and your sales increase or decrease you will not know which change made the difference.

I know what you are thinking right now. Is he going to tell us that word that doubled theses sales or not? Well yes I am as a reward for eading this article right through. The label belonged to a shampoo bottle and the label read Wash and rinse hair and the copywriter added the word "Repeat."

It is more cost efficient to have regular customers buying of you than it is to go out and seek new prospects. ou can keep customers loyal to you using better customer relations tan your opposition.

Try to stay in contact with customers on a regular basis. Offer them a free e-zine subscription. Ask readers if they want to be updated by e-mail when you make changes to your Web site. After every sale, follow-up with the customer to see if they are satisfied with their purchase. You could create a reader focus group. Invite ten to twenty of your most loyal customers to meet regularly. They will give you ideas and input on how to improve your customer service. You could pay them, take them out to dinner or give them free products.

Make navigating your web site easy. Have a "FAQ" page on your Web site to explain anything that might confuse your customers. Be polite to your customers even if they are being irate with you. Always apologize to your customers should you make a mistake.Admit your mistakes quickly and make it up to them in a big way. It all comes under the old saying the customer is always right.

10 reasons Why You Can't Sell Back End Products

Back end products are items or information that you sell after the initial sale has been closed. Once you have a customer buying from you it should be easier to sell them a second product. So where do we go wrong?

1. Immediately after the first sale it is vital that you follow up with a thank you email and ask if there were any problems with their purchase. It is then you introduce your second product on the thank you e-mail.

2. The product did bot arrive on the date you said it would. The customer will not rely on you again. Need to review your shipping procedure to see if their problem can be ironed out, or put the date back on your advertisement

3. Your product didn't do as promised. If your product didn't accomplish their desired goal they're not going to think your second product will either.

4. Your customer couldn't contact you in time when they had a questions regarding the product after purchasing. You could have added extra lines of communication.

5. Your customer doesn't want to revisit your web site because it is not being updated with new content. You could have offered more original content or freebies.

6. Your competition is offering free shipping with their product. You should have been more aware of how they are targeting your customers.

7. Your customer has lost your web site address. You should have given your customers your web site information in your product package.

8. You couldn't resolve a problem your customer had with your product. You should know your product inside out.

9. You didn't up-sell when they were already in the buying mood. You can always try to sell your other product when they're ready to buy your first one.

10. Your competition offers a stronger money back guarantee. You must always be thinking of better ways to remove the risk from your customers.

Search Engine Ranking

Search Engine Marketing

All bloggers know that a well-written, entertaining
and focused blog can generate huge volumes of traffic
from visitors. This is one of the basic learnings in
blogging: blogs should be focused and centered on a
topic and other related issues.

Search engine marketing is simply the process of
getting your blog and its content sufficiently high
ranking in several search engines for your keywords.
This would enable your content to generate more
visitors to your site from SERPs or Search Engine
Results Pages. Attention-grabbing content titles and
sites help users to feel compelled to click on your
link in the search engine results pages and eventually
visit you.

Additionally, search engine marketing needs a Web site
that is optimized for search engines. Normally, this
is a Web site that can display a configuration setting
that makes it look interesting to search engine
spiders. In turn, the spiders will visit the site and
look at your content. After doing this, the spiders
then pick up significant keywords, which determine the
characteristic of your page. Lastly, the content
returns to the search engines for the purpose of being
indexed.

Enhancing Search Engine Marketing

Nowadays, blogs are making tons of small news Web
sites or mini content centers that contain significant
information and links. Compared in the past, search
engines visit major news Web sites since they were the
ones who were the ultimate sources for the newest
content to be found online. Blogs have outpaced
several media outlets online due to their capability
to deliver and publish fresh information to the public
faster.

The key in getting noticed more by the search engines
is to publish faster. Since search engines looks for
the freshest, high value and relevant information, it
is important for you to publish frequently. This would
get your blog more visits from major search engines
and others.

Blogs have a natural relationship with search engines.
Since blogs are natural search engine magnets, the
search engine spiders will visit your blog often if
they detect an update from it. In addition, the
content of your blog does not have to wait for months
before getting into search engine result pages but
instead, your content will be displayed in a matter of
hours or days.

It is important to know how much the search engine can
do for your blog. Blogs should be frequently updated
to allow the search engine spider to visit you often,
since they are normally programmed to visit your blog
as often as you publish fresh contents.

Reasons Why Blogs Rank Well in Search Results

Firstly, blogs are designed to meet the demands for
search traffic and search engines. Blogs are also
highly significant in their niches and are considered
as the best sources of the most up-to-date information
online. More so, blogs can be keyword optimized.
Keyword optimization helps blogs achieve high rankings
in search engine results. Additionally, wisely
distributing the keywords evenly on the content can
also help your blog rank easily on search engine
results.

Compared to Web sites, blogs are also text-rich
publishing tools. This only means that the code used
by blogs is light weight. This makes your blog’s
content highly visible to search engines. Search
engine spiders can visit your blog frequently and
crawl over your content faster because of greater
clarity. This clarity provides a vivid interpretation
of what the content of your blog is all about.

Getting Traffic to your Blog

No blog survives without traffic. More so, less
traffic only means that the content is not that good.
However, there are also instances wherein a great blog
does not have enough traffic. The key in getting
traffic is to come up with a strategy and make
everyone notice your blog. There are a few things that
you need to consider with regards to generating
traffic to your blog and these are not that different
from planning a regular Web site.

The only exception is that blogs can generate traffic
a lot faster. What you only need to consider first is
your target audience and where exactly you are
generating your blog’s traffic.

The Content

The content of your blog is very important. It is the
reason why people visit your blog. Try to make your
blog interesting and learn to master the ideas
included in your blog. The content should also be
relevant and of high value to the audience. Find out
what your audience wants and if what you are writing
satisfy them.

The content is especially important if you are
planning sales from your blog. Firstly, you must
become a trust-worthy and credible source of
information before people try the product. Blogs are
excellent medium for sales since they allow you to
connect and converse through the use of the content.
You must realize that without a great content, your
blog cannot fully achieve power and leverage against
others.

In order to gain audience for your content, remember
not to publish infrequently. Additionally, do not
criticize others if you do not have facts to support
your claim and references for those facts. If you
criticize, do it in an objective non-personal manner.
What you can do is to publish often and make sure that
the entry you are about to publish is meaningful and
of high-value. Lastly, be yourself to help your
audience relate to you but do not reveal any private
information.

The Ping

Some bloggers take the extra mile just to ping and do
not solely rely on the blog software pings. The blog
software pings’ job is to update the servers for the
purpose of announcing your content updates. Search
engines and blog directories then checks these update
servers for the latest updates; this is the reason why
your blog’s content gets into search engines quickly.

Pings make blogs excellent search engine optimization
tools. There are even instances where it only takes a
day before your content gets into search engines.
However, your blog’s content will only take hours to a
few days to get into most search engines, on average.

When starting a blog, always check the instructions
included. There might be section wherein you can turn
on the blog software ping automatically, which
activates on the background. By doing so, whenever you
publish content in your blog, it will instantly
transmit ping updates.

RSS feeds are also important. Not only will you be
able to publish your content within a short duration
but also replicate your content through the use of
your RSS feed. Nowadays, the flow of your content is
real-time and the RSS allows you to show your content
to a wider audience.

There are several ways to promote your blog. However,
keep in mind that there is no strategy for quick money
when it comes to profitable blogging. It requires
dedication, time, a strategy for the content and
patience before the cash starts flowing in.

Writing and Publishing Your First Blog Entry

Writing and Publishing Your First Blog Entry

The content of your blog is an important factor in
gaining traffic and acquiring a target audience.
Publishing your first article or item is a great
milestone in your blogging career. Fortunately, there
are several basic guidelines, which can make your
content more effective to your audience, adored by the
search engines and respected by the world of blogging.

Publishing an Effective Content

Before you begin to write anything on your blog, you
should know who your target audience is and what they
want. If you see these factors as irrelevant for your
blog because your blog is not business oriented in any
way, you must remember that if you want readers then
these factors are really relevant.

Always remember that where there are readers there is
something interesting to read. The only reason why
people read is because they want something. If you
really want to achieve some kind of massive
readership, you must strive to make your content
interesting and actually what readers want.

First of all, keep in mind that communication is the
key. More so, your communication must be authentic.
The time when you publish your content is also the
time when you let your true self surface. Blogs are
personal in nature and communication is the key to
being personal. The fact that each blog is unique
because each writer is unique is enough for you to not
to worry about future similarities with other blog
entries. Keep in mind that whatever topic you are
blogging about you must incorporate your personality
with your writing.

In order to create a loyal target audience, it is
important for the visitors to trust you and relate to
you. It does not necessarily entail that they know
about your personal details but you must connect with
your audience in an authentic manner.

After establishing your communication with your
audience, the content must also be credible. The blog
must have authenticity even though credibility takes a
lot of time to build.

The moment you begin publishing your content, which is
of high value and useful to the readers, you also
start establishing your authority. There will come a
time when your readers ask you for advice or seek for
your opinion; this is the time when you have achieved
some kind of credibility and you must use this to
build your reputation as a blogger.

The Blogger’s Block

Blogging is writing but uses a different medium. There
are several methods to fight blogger’s block. Always
remember that your blog software exists to serve you
and not to frighten you. You do not have to try
blogging carrying the idea that you have prolific
writing skills, or a journalism degree. The fact is
that you have something to say and you want others to
hear it. However, if you are feeling stuck on an idea,
there are several suggestions that you can apply when
creating the content for your blog.

Firstly, you can try visiting other blogs. Visit those
blogs that interest you and pick ideas and topics from
those blogs that might be worth blogging about but
keep in mind the relevance of the topic and your
readership. You can also syndicate your news updates.
You can do this by subscribing to news services online
because they allow you to save time on searching using
keywords. This is most useful for bloggers.

What Type of Blog is Best for You?

In blogging, you are not limited into one type of
blogging type. In fact, there are several types of
blogs. No matter what type bloggers use, they publish
content around topics and issues that they feel
passionate about. For instance, several bloggers write
about politics, others for pet care and some for
personal computers. However, blogs that are business
oriented are often focused into a single topic for the
fact that they need to emphasize their services or
products.

Blogs can cover a wide range of topics. Because of
this versatility, several people are starting to blog.
Not only can they express what they feel or advertise
their products or services, they can also earn cash.
Blogs are new methods of earning income at the comfort
of your own home. However, that is just the icing on
the cake since blogging can bring lots of joy to
several bloggers for that fact that they can share
their opinions and thoughts to others and receive
advise from them or vice versa.

Blogging for Business

Several businesses are exploring the world of
blogging. This is an excellent opportunity for them
since blogging is a great medium of communication.
Additionally, business oriented blogs can benefit from
the search engine optimization advantage, which is the
biggest leverage of blogging.

If the business has a Web site that promotes a product
or service, any type of content that the business use
as the vehicle to drive the business or commerce to
another level require a blog. Blogs are very useful
because they are text-based and light weight, with
regards to the code used, compared to traditional Web
site content. This only means that blogs minimize the
crawl time of search engine spiders and allow them to
retrieve more information about the page to the search
directories a lot faster.

More so, blogs are dynamic because they can be updated
frequently. By frequently publishing contents for the
blog, the search engine spiders visit more often. The
result is that the blog can have more pages being sent
over the search engines compared to the business’s
opponents. This is very good indeed if the competitor
is the one who has a static Web site. This also
provides the blogging business an opportunity to reach
out to more potential customers, thus possibly
increasing their revenue.

Blogging for Personal Use

Normally, personal blogs have the characteristics of
being exciting, interesting and enjoyable. Bloggers
blogging for personal reasons have the purpose of
keeping their friends and family updated about their
lives and activities. Many bloggers find comfort in
blogging personal contents. Additionally, if you
create a personal blog, you are open to the idea of
sharing your interest with other people who might
visit your blog.

Like any other blogs, personal blogs can be
incorporated with photos, videos and other multimedia
elements. You can create a personal blog about
anything that you feel passionate about. There are
even personal blogs with contents regarding products
that the blogger is really interested in. This
provides the businesses ideas about the preferences of
their customers. This only proves that blogs also work
in synergy.

Blogs are very easy to use content management systems,
which allow you to publish articles right away and in
real-time. These platforms for communication unravel
new opportunities to connect with others both in a
personal or professional manner.

How To Plan Your Blog

How to Plan Your Blog

The basics of blogging cover all the basic essentials,
including your writing style, blog category and the
content of your blog. Planning your blog can be
difficult if you do not know what you want to talk
about. It could be extra hard if you do not have the
necessary background in blogging. However, knowing
what you want to blog about can easily come to you
once you start browsing and poking around other blogs.
You can pick ideas from those blogs, expound and make
them the basis of your blog.

The Blogging Categories

Generally, there are several types of blogs.
Nevertheless, there are three popular categories of
blogs, such as: the organizational, business and
personal blogs.

The first category, the organization, uses the power
of blogs to communicate either externally with the
public or internally within their organizations. This
kind of blog has the purpose of facilitation internal
communications amongst employees, colleagues and other
organizational personnel. In addition, organizational
blogs normally publish information that is of interest
by the public. In a certain instance, there are
organizational blogs that publish seminar schedules,
meetings, and announcements for their clients,
customers or members.

The business blogs, on the other hand, are for
promoting services or products offered by businesses
in order to help increase profits, revenue and
interest of potential consumers. These kinds of blogs
can look for ways to increase their reputation and
authority with vendors, customers and partners. They
do this by publishing contents that express expertise
and knowledge within a specific market portion, niche
or industry.

The personal blogs are those that contain contents
that are more of a reflection of bloggers’ opinions
and thoughts. Normally, they are used to publish
articles that voice their points of view on several
kinds and varieties of events and topics. Bloggers who
publish personal contents usually find pleasure in
documenting their everyday lives, stream of
consciousness and even their hate to specific events
through articles that reflects their moods.

The Target Audience

Your target audience and blogging style comes hand in
hand. The moment you think of creating your own blog,
you must first realize what your target audience is;
you must know what they want, need and desire to read
about. The blog you create and the contents you
publish must provide quality and value to the readers
in order to be effective in establishing communication
and expanding readership.

More so, the kind of blog you want to create
essentially creates its own target audience. For
instance, an organizational blog is meant for those
who are members or clients of a certain organization.
Although the target audience may be limited, there is
a good chance for consistency with regards to the
dialogue you create with your readers and eventually
more people would be interested in your blog.

The mentioned personal blogs are not normally designed
for social dialogue with a certain target readership
of any category and is rather meant to serve as a
collection of your musings. These kinds of blogs are
best reserved to your close friends and they are your
target audience.

If you identify your target audience successfully,
your messages that you want everyone to know about
will be effectively targeted. Some of the greatest
joys of blogging come from the use of your enthusiasm
in publishing signification information for a
community where there is a free exchange of opinions
between the readers and you.

and it has become one of the best ways of communicating
with the public. It is more friendly than a website
and allows interaction between you and the reader. You could have a blog set up in 1/2 an hour easily with your sales page , affiliate links or your own product online ready for business.

learn. Although, technologically savvy individuals an
easily familiarize themselves with these terms, it
might be hard for those who have limited or no
background with Web publishing whatsoever.

Firstly, the most important term in blogging is Post.
A post happens every time you place or publish an
update to your blog; you also create a post this way.
Secondly, since blogs are a means of communication,
comments are also possible. If your audience leaves a
message regarding your published content, this message
is referred to as a comment. Normally, the comments
are labeled and time-stamped to allow you and other
readers to see who posted the comment and when it was
posted.

Comment spams, is also a term that happen when a
single reader continuously repeats the same comment
over and over again. This can be a headache for the
blogger as the blog can be used by the reader to
promote other blogs or Web site.

These are just some of the few terms that you can
encounter in blogging. Only exploration and experience
can help you understand the other terminologies
involved in blogging.

in copywriting.

Today, you will see that a lot of people write blogs
and own a blogging website. Some write blogs that
concentrates on their personal life and experiences,
others write blogs to market a particular product or
service, while there are also people who write their

Whatever you write about, it will have some potential

really good. So, here are some tips that can help you
write better blogs and one that people will surely
want to read and recommend to other people.

First, you have to remember that catching the
attention of your readers is very important. What this
means is that the title and the first two or three
sentences of your blog should be enough to catch your
readers attention and encourage them to read the rest
of the blogs.

Most of the blogs that has great potential and great
content fails because of this. The writer didn’t give
it a good title and a good introduction, which made
the reader close the blog and look for other blogs
that is good to read.

Although you won't be able to please all the people
reading your blogs, you have to consider the fact that
you have to at least catch the attention that has
something in common with you.

So, writing good introductions and giving your blog a
good title is crucial in order for your blogs to
become a success and be considered a good read.

Aside from the title and the introduction, the body is
also very important. What you write in your title
should correspond or relate to the introduction and
title you give your blog. Stay on the subject. Also,
it is very important that everything should be easy to
read and understand.

After you finished writing a blog, reread it and
imagine that you are the reader. Also, check for
grammatical errors and spelling mistakes. It is also a
good idea to get your friends to read it before you
post the blog in your blogging website. This will give
you an unbiased judge on what your blog is like.

As a reader, if you didn’t like the blog that you
wrote and that you found that it is quite complicated
to understand redo it or just edit it so that it will
be a bit better.

This is the art of making blogs. It may sound simple,
but it really isn’t. You need to work hard in your
writing skills and you also have to take a lot of
criticism about how you write.

Remember these tips and you can be sure that you will
be able to write a good blog. If the first blog you
wrote didn’t actually become an internet sensation,
then just leave it be and write another blog about
anything that your heart desires. Improve on your
writing and you can be sure that you will get better
and better at writing blogs.

Remember these tips and you will one day become famous
as a blog writer. Always remember that blogging brigs
fame. All you need to do is make a good blog that
people will want to read and one that people will want
to make their friends read.

Give Value to your Freebies

Almost everyone is giving away a bonus, or a free gift so they can sell a product or service or even just to get their email address. They are giving away free e-zines, ebooks, services, etc. What's happening to all this free stuff? It's loosing it's perceived value.Every time you surf the internet or check your e-mail you see at least 20 to 50 freebies offers.

Don't get me wrong freebies do increase traffic, but not like they did when the internet was new. The key is to increase the perceived value of your freebies so they will be more attractive to your audience. How do you do this? Well, here are eight ways:

1. You could tell them what the freebie is worth with a dollar amount. For example, "Subscribe to my freee-zine! A $199 value!"

2. You could add other freebies to your freebie that will increase the value. For example, "Subscribe to my free e-zine and get free access to our "subscribers only" private web site!"

3. You could tell them the freebie is only available for a limited time. For example, " Download our free ebook, this free offer will only be available until May30, 2000." 4. You could tell them the freebie is only available to a limited number of people. For example, " Our free software will only be available for the next 100 people that download it."

5. You could give more details about the freebie.List the benefits, features, what problems the freebie will solve, etc.

6. You could describe your freebie to sound more attractive. For example, instead of "free report" you could say "free never released top secret document"

7. You could list testimonials for your freebie. Most businesses don't give testimonials for their freebies. This would defiantly increase your freebies value.

8. You could tell people how many people have already receive your freebie. For example, "15,000people have already subscribed to my free e-zine!Can they all be wrong? These are only a few ways you can add value to your freebies. You could be creative and think up some other ways to increase the perceived value of your freebies. Also test each idea to see which one draws the most traffic to your web site.

Package Bundling to Increase Sales

An excellent strategy to increase your profits and sales is to bundle many products or services together into one package. This gives prospects more reasons to buy your products and services. Readers also have come to believe package deals are a better value.

You should try an make all items in your package related to your niche: For example, web promotion E books, free traffic software Web design CD's would be a great package for anyone interested in this subject.

A good idea would be to send out a survey to your readers and see what products
or services they would like you to offer in the future.

Check out similar web sites in your niche and see what th are offering and more importantly, not offering.

If you have no choice but to bundle unrelated products or services together, ask your readers which ones would be of interest to them.Remember, people do not have one interest in life they have many.

Another good features of bundling is that you will get sales from people who are no that interested in your product that you are selling but have would love one of the giveaways in the bundle and you have made another sale.

So where do you find all these products and services to make up these bundles? Well you can buy
them from wholesalers or drop shippers. You can
buy the reproduction/resell rights to other customers's products. You could combine with your competition to create a package deal.

You could joint venture or cross promotion deal with other businesses. You could also
create your own products and services. Be creative!

I have came across hundreds of free giveaways on the internet which allow you to use their products as package bundles. They are usually E books that were sold years ago but are a bit dated now, nevertheless, still full of relevant information. Search the internet for free E books and software and bundle them up for your next sale.

How To Increase Sales

Hold a discount sale on your web site. Use the sale to get
rid of excess inventory, gain new or repeat customers, and
increase your sales. Most businesses pick a theme for their
sale, like a Halloween Sale. Below are six unique sales
themes you could use:

Nobody's Visiting Today Sale

Every online business has low visitor and sales day through
the week. My days are Tuesdays and Thursdays. You
could sell your products or services for cheaper to increase
and sales on your slow days. You could have this advertised
right on your web site.

Time Of The Day Sale

Periodically , pick out a time of the day like 5 to 7 pm to
lower your prices. With online sales you need tell people

time in your e-zine. This will give people enough time to
plan when they will visit your web site.

Product Or Service Of The Day Sale

Each day offer different product or service at a lower price.
This will draw people back to your web site everyday. This
is a high traffic generating sale. If you don't have a lot of

Free Advertising

The opportunities for getting your product or services promoted free limited only by your own imagination. There are so many proven ways of getting free advertising that it literally boggles the mind just to think of listing them.

Wtiting articles is the best way for long term ree pubklicity. Send as many as you can to as many article directories as you can. remember to put your bio box on them other sites will publish and advertise your site.
Another really good way is by becoming a guest on as many of the radio and television talk shows or interview type programs as possible. Actually, this is much easier to bring about than most people realize. Write a letter to the producer of these programs,
then follow up with an in-person visit or telephone call. Your initial contact should emphasize that your product or service would be of interest to the listeners or viewers of the program - perhaps even saving them time or money.

Other ways of getting free or very inexpensive exposure include the posting of advertising circulars on all the free bulletin boards in your area, especially the coin-operated laundries, grocery stores, and beauty and barber shops. Don't discount the idea of handing out circulars to all the shoppers in busy shopping centers and malls, especially on weekends. You can also enlist the aid of the middle school students in your area to
hand out circulars door-to-door.

Some of the more routine methods include having a promotional ad relative to your product or service printed on the front or back of your envelopes at the time you have them printed with your return address.

Be sure to check all the publications that carry the kind of advertising you need. Many mail order publications just getting started offer unusually low rates to first-time advertisers; a free-of-charge insertion of your ad when you pay for an order to run three issues or more; or special seasonal ad space at greatly reduced rates. And there are a number of publications that will give you Per Inquiry (PI) space - an arrangement where all orders come in to the publication, they take a commission from each order, and then forward the orders on to you for fulfillment.

Many publications will give you a contract for "stand-by" space. In this arrangement you send them your ad, and they hold it until they have unsold space, and then at a price that's always one third or less than the regular price for the space you need,
insert your ad. Along these lines, be sure to check in with the suburban and neighborhood newspapers.

If you send out or publish any kind of catalog or ad sheet, get in touch with all the other publishers and inquire about the possibilities of exchange advertising. They run your ad in their publication in exchange for your running an ad for them of comparable size in yours.

Finally, there's nothing in the world that beats the low cost and tremendous exposure you get when you advertise a free offer. Simply run an ad offering a free report of interest to most people - a simple one-page report with a "tag-line" inviting the readers to send money for more information, with a full page advertisement for your book or other product on the backside. Ask for a self-addressed stamped envelope, and depending on the appeal of your report and the circulation of the publication in which your ad appears, you could easily be inundated with responses!

The trick here, of course, is to convert all of these responses, or a large percentage of them, into sales. This is done via the "tag-line," which issues an invitation to the reader
to send for more information, and the full page ad on the back of the report, and the other offers you include with the complete package you send back to them. As mentioned at the beginning of this report, it's just a matter of unleashing your imagination. Do that, and you have a powerful force working for you that can help you reach your goals.

How To Sell Online Home Page

How many people have you met who have said to you thay cannot sell to save themselves. Well I believe salesmen and women are made not born. Most people find it really difficult at the beginning but learn from their mistakes and move on.

It may surprise you to know but for the most part people are always looking for ways o better themselves. If you want evidence, research the sales figures on the number of self-improvement books sold every year. people have realized they have to continue improving their ability to sell themselves and their services and products.

Confidence is the key to selling and confidence comes, first and foremost, from knowledge. You have to know and understand yourself and your goals. You have to recognize and accept your weaknesses as well as your special talents. This requires a kind of personal honesty that not everyone is capable of exercising.

In addition to knowing yourself, you must continue learning about people. Just as with yourself, you must be caring, forgiving and laudatory with others. In any sales effort, you must accept other people as they are, not as you would like for them to be. One of the most common faults of sales people is impatience when the prospective customer is slow to understand or make a decision. The successful salesperson handles these situations the same as he would if he were asking a girl for a date, or even applying for a new job.

Learning your product, making a clear presentation to qualified prospects, and closing more sales will take a lot less time once you know your own capabilities and failings, and understand and care about the prospects you are calling upon.

Our society is predicated upon selling, and all of us are selling something all the time. We move up or stand still in direct relation to our sales efforts. Everyone is included, whether we're attempting to be a friend to a co-worker, a neighbour, or selling multi-million dollar real estate projects. Accepting these facts will enable you to understand that there is no such thing as a born salesman. Indeed, in selling, we all begin at the same starting line, and we all have the same finish line as the goal - a successful sale.

Most assuredly, anyone can sell anything to anybody. As a qualification to this statement, let us say that some things are easier to sell than others, and some people work harder at selling than others. But regardless of what you're selling, or even how you're attempting to sell it, the odds are in your favor. If you make your presentation to enough people, you'll find a buyer. The problem with most people seems to be in making contact - getting their sales presentation seen by, read by, or heard by enough people. But this really shouldn't be a problem, as we'll explain later. There is a problem of impatience, but this too can be harnessed to work in the salesperson's favor.

We have established that we're all salespeople in one way or another. So whether we're attempting to move up from forklift driver to warehouse manager, wait ress to hostess, salesman to sales manager or from mail order dealer to president of the largest sales organization in the world, it's vitally important that we continue learning.

Getting up out of bed in the morning; doing what has to be done in order to sell more units of your product; keeping records, updating your materials; planning the direction of further sales efforts; and all the while increasing your own knowledge - all this very definitely requires a great deal of personal motivation, discipline, and energy. But then the rewards can be beyond your wildest dreams, for make no mistake about it, the selling profession is the highest paid occupation in the world!

Selling is challenging. It demands the utmost of your creativity and innovative thinking. The more success you want, and the more dedicated you are to achieving your goals, the more you'll sell. Hundreds of people the world over become millionaires each month through selling. Many of them were flat broke and unable to find a "regular" job when they began their selling careers. Yet they've done it, and you can do it too!

Remember, it's the surest way to all the wealth you could ever want. You get paid according to your own efforts, skill, and knowledge of people. If you're ready to become rich, then think seriously about selling a product or service (prefer ably something exclusively yours) - something that you "pull out of your brain;" something that you write, manufacture or produce for the benefit of other people. But failing this, the want ads are full of opportunities for ambitious sales people. You can start there, study, learn from experience, and watch for the chance that will allow you to move ahead by leaps and bounds.

Here are some guidelines that will definitely improve your gross sales, and quite naturally, your gross income. I like to call them the Strategic Salesmanship Commandments. Look them over; give some thought to each of them; and adapt those that you can to your own selling efforts.

1. If the product you're selling is something your prospect can hold in his hands, get it into his hands as quickly as possible. In other words, get the prospect "into the act." Let him feel it, weigh it, admire it as in the Puppy Dog Technique

2. You need to answer the prospects questions in your sales page. To do this of course you need to cover every conceivable question and obstacle to buying your product that you can come up with. Missing one obstacle to in the prospects mind could loose you a sale.

3. Remember that selling online as out in the real world , time is money! Therefore, you must allocate only so much time to each project. If it is not pulling in sales it is time to tweak your sales page and try again. You have to keep doing this until you are satisfied with the sales you are getting.

4. Review your sales presentation, your sales materials, and your prospecting efforts. Make sure you have a "door-opener" that arouses interest and "forces" a purchase the first time around. This can be a $2 interest stimulator so that you can show him your full line, or a special marked-down price on an item that
everybody wants; but the important thing is to get the prospect on your "buying customer" list, and then follow up via mail or telephone with related, but more
profitable products you have to offer.

Promoting Your Website

Promote Your Website

After you have built your website you need to get traffic. This is when you have to use your imagination to Promote Your Website but here are a few ideas to get you going.

Holding a contest or sweepstakes is a great way to get people talking about your website. You can contact dozens of websites that hold free that list free contests and sweepstakes. Use press release sites to advertise your contest or sweepstakes. Ask entrants to your contest or sweepstakes if they would accept offers from your business in the future by e-mail.

Use online chat rooms that are within your niche topic to promote your web site.
Let it be known to everyone in the chat room
something interesting or free that's offered on your
web site. Don't spam the chat rooms though or you will be banned. You need to ad valid comments about what the topics of the conversations are about then, and only then add that announce that your website may have some of the answers that people are asking..

If you have another website place your link on it and invite readers to visit your other site. Try to find other sites with similar interests and swap links with them. It would be better however,
if the other site was not in direct competition with yours.

You can easily promote your web site by using traffic generators. It could be a free e-zine, service, e-book,contest etc. Giving away traffic generators gives you the
opportunity to get free advertising by including your advert on them. There are online directories that will also let you submit your freebie information. You can even let other people give away your traffic generators.

Posting messages to e-mail discussion lists is a great way to promote your web site An e-mail discussion list is a group of people connected together via e-mail that can communicate with one another. When you post a message to a list include your signature file at the end. Include an attention getting sentence why they should
visit your web site.

I hope this spurs your imagination. I always put my blog link straight after my signature on any emails I send which is a good idea.

We have spoken before about creating urgency during copywriting and here are 10 more tips to help you make that sell your online product quicker.

1. Offer your readers a deadline to order. Tell your prospects that if they order by a certain date they will get a discount or free bonuses. This will create an urgency so they don't put off buying.

2. Offer your prospects a money back guarantee when selling your online product. The longer the guarantee the more effective it will be. It could be a 30 day, 60 day, 1 year, or best of all, a lifetime guarantee.

3. Offer a free on-site repair service for products you sell. This can take all the worry out of purchasing for prospects because they won't have to send it away for repair and they won't have to be without the product for a long period of time.

4. Testimonials on your advert copy work amazingly well. They will give your product or service credibility and you'll gain readers trust. It's important to include the persons full name and location with the testimonial. If you do not have any testimonials contact previous buyers of your service or product and ask for a testimonial.Offer to put their photo and the name of their site on the copy.

5. Offer your readers free bonuses when they order your product or service. The free bonuses could be anything electronic for convienience books, reports, newsletters, etc.

6. Allow your prospects to make money reselling your online product or service via an affiliate programme You could pay them per sale, per click, per referral, etc.

7. Offer free 24 hour help (if possible) with all products you sell.Allow customers to ask you questions by e-mail, by toll free phone, by free fax, etc. Always make it a priority to answer these questions and always be honest even if it means losing a sale. In the long run you will have gained credibility and that customer will trust you from then on.

8. Provide free shipping or posting with all orders. If you can'tafford it, you could offer free shipping on orders over a certain dollar threshold.

9. Give away a free sample of your product. Remember The Puppy Dog Technique? You will gain people's trust when you allow them to try out a free sample of your product. If they like it they won't hesitate buying it.

10. Offer a buy one get one free deal. If you sell more than one product this type of deal works great.your prospects will feel they are getting more for their money and order quicker.

If you have used all these tips and the customer will still not buy, move on, there are plenty more prospects out there. You just have to face it, you cant win them all.

Create Urgency

One of the most important aims of a sales page or advert is to create urgency. If the reader says to himself I will come back to this another day you will probably lose the sale. He will find another similar product or forget where he saw yours or give up on the idea altogether. You have to get them to BUY NOW.

How do you do this? You must use a limited time
offer. Limited time offers stop people from putting
off buying your products or services. It stops them
from procrastinating.

There are many different types of limited time offers.
Here are a few.

Limited Time Price Offers
For example, Order Now! While the price is still low.
After Jan 23,2009 this price will go up to...

Or try this:

Limited Time Discount Offers
For example, Order before Midnight, Nov. 8, 2009and you will get 45% discount!

or this:

Limited Time Free Bonus Offers
For example, Order before January 3rd , 2009 and you'll get a free bonus!

Limited Time In Stock Offers
For example, Order Now! While supplies last! After
April 05,2009 we can't guarantee we will have any
left in stock.

I do not believe in a fate that falls on men however they act; but I do believe in a fate that falls on man unless they act. ~G.K. Chesterton

Not everyone who reads your sales page are going to buy first time, that's just the nature of the beast and we can't change it. evertheless, we can increase the percentage who do buy first time by telling them how important it is to buy immediately. A word of caution, do not say it is a limited offer if it is not. You may gain a sale but in the long run you will lose a customer

Avoid These Things On Your Site

Each page on your website should have 2 goals. 1/ to be interesting enough that veiwers want to read it and 2/ have a plan of action on it. It can either lead to a sales page or it could be asking them to sign up for a newsletter etc etc. Here are some things you should try to avoid.

1. Try not to clutter your web site especially the sales page or readers will get distracted and miss your sales message and that's the whole point isn't it?

2. Try not to use words that do not add to the sales message. You do not have much time to persuade the reader to buy or take some form of action,so make every word count.

3. Do not assume that everyone will understand your sales message. Use examples to if need be to get the point across. Another idea would be so show illustrations or pictures.

4. Don't let the reader forget your product or services Unique Selling Point. Mention it 2 or 3 times in case they missed it.

5. Try not bunch up all your words and paragraphs. Readers like to scan the page so steer clear of long paragraphs and break it up with a lot of headings and subheadings which will keep them interested.

6. Do not fill your site with irrelevant content. If your site is about chess, don't talk about checkers or you will quickly loose their interest and custom. While I,m on this subject you should never have a hyperlink on your sales page that would encourage the reader to go to another site. You should funnel the reader to your sales copy and keep him or her there until they have taken the action you want them to.

7. Don't use different fonts and formats all over the site. If your text is hard to read or even uncomfortable people will change to another site.

8. Don't make it hard to understand. Readers will not sit with a dictionary beside them when surfing the internet so try to keep the words simple and easy to describe your product or service..

9. Try not to let selling words and phrases go unnoticed. Highlight important words and phrases with color, bolding, italics, underlining, or anything else you can think off.

10. Try not to forget to use words that create emotion in the reader. Encourage them to smell, feel and taste the product with their minds. This is a very strong selling tool.

If you already have a site up and running you could take a quick glance over it to make sure you are not breaking any of these guidlines. Speak to you soon

You need to study similar products to ensure your competitors do not have the same unique selling point or it is back to the drawing board. Here are some ideas to get you thinking about what your product's niche is.

Your unique selling point could be that you offer free delivery to te customers home or business address. This may cost some money initially ,but, you will gain the extra customers to make up for it.

Your unique selling point could be that you offer a you product cheaper than your competitor. If this is not possible an alternative could be a one off Fire Sale.
Your unique selling point could be that your product accomplishes results quicker than similar products. This unique selling point is very relevant because people expect results immediately.

Your unique selling point could be that your business has been established longer than your competitors and therefore has more credibility. People assume you are not a "Fly By Night Trader" who will disappear s soon as the sale has been made.

How about some of these unique selling points: Does your product smell, taste or sound better than the others on the market. Does you product feel or look better than the rest. These are great selling points as the readers use their imaginations and vision themselves owning it.

“It is a most extraordinary thing, but I never read a patent medicine advertisement without being impelled to the conclusion that I am suffering from the particular disease therein dealt with in its most virulent form.”
Jerome K. Jerome

Your unique selling point could be that your product is simple to use. The last thing your customer wants is a 300 page instruction manual that only a rocket scientest could understand.

What about safety features? This is a great unique selling point. Your customers will actually pay more for a product if it is proved to be safer than the rest.

Your unique selling point could be that your product was hand made. The perception by the public that handmade products stand for quality. If someone has taken the time to make this product by hand then the assumption is it will be well made.

Explain to readers that for a little more money, they can extend the guarantee of the product or service.
