Do you ever have writers block? It happens when you see that blank screen or sheet of paper in front of you and you do not know where to start. Well here are 10 tips to overcome that and to give you some ideas of how to find topics to write about.


1. Take part in forums related to your niche. Take note of what questions people are asking
and ask others what information they're are looking for.

2. Check out what information is being on the
tv, news and chat shows. Thes are usually up to date and have relevant topics to write about.

3. Message boards are a great plce to find out what problems people need resolved or what sort of information they are after. This information is perfect for articles.


4. Contact your web site readers or current customers and ask them what type of articles they would like to see published on your web site. You can put the article on your website and send it to the article directories.


5. You should have a guest book on your site and visitors can leave questions and ideas there for you to write about. Dont just answer the question in one line. Research it and make an article out of it.

6. Have a look at book shops and check out the magazine racks as well as the book shelves. There will be a ton of up to date topis there that you know are relevant because people are buying theses publications.

7. You can use the seasons of the year to write good relavant articles. Certain sporting events take place during the winter , holidays take plce in ther summer, etc etc.

8. Try to find some related e-mail discussion lists. Try to find the answers to the questions they are asking and write an article on it. Contact the group and tell them where to find uor article.

9. Write an article about a new fad thats all the rage. Topical articles are always well recieved.

10. Keep note of every email you recieve that has a question and write an article to answer these questions.


I take a note book everywhere and write down any subject I hear people talking about that interests me or headlines in the newspapaers or whatever. There are millions of topics out there. Be careful not to let them see you copying down thier conversation though or you may get a sore face. Having said that, you would have a new topic to write an article on wouldn't you.
